5: Poseidon: God of the sea

I am Poseidon, god of the sea, riding my seashell chariot drawn by hippocampi beside my wife Amphitrite. Around us swim dolphins, Nereids, and my herald Triton who sounds his conch to calm the waves. With my trident I command earthquakes and storms, punishing arrogance and protecting sailors. From my waters rise creatures and heroes alike, from the horse Pegasus to the hunter Orion.
