7: Hestia: Goddess of the hearth

I am Hestia, goddess of the hearth, seated beside the sacred flame that warms both mortals and gods. I hold the chaste tree of purity and a veiled head to show my devotion to peace and modesty. Mortals offer me the first and last portion of every meal in gratitude. Though I relinquish my throne for Dionysus, I remain at the center of Olympus, tending the eternal fire.
