7: THE ISLAND OF ARES
Our oars cut through endless storms until we reach an island guarded by birds that rain metal-tipped feathers from the sky. We raise our shields and shout as one until the war birds scatter into the clouds. Passing the Caucasus, we glimpse Prometheus chained to the mountain, his agony echoing across the sea. At last, we reach Colchis, where the Fleece glows in the shadow of King Aietes’ wrath.
