7: CERYNEIAN HIND (Labor 3)

To capture the golden-horned Hind of Artemis, I pursue it for a full year across mountains and forests. When at last I seize it, the goddess herself appears, furious that I touched her sacred creature. I swear that I act under prophecy, not pride, and she allows me to continue. My reverence spares me her wrath, and I learn that respect for the divine is its own strength.
