8: THE BLACK SAIL

Grief blinds me on the voyage home, and I forget to raise the white sail that signals my survival. My father, seeing black sails upon the horizon, throws himself into the sea in despair. The waves bear his name forever as the Aegean Sea. I return a hero to a city crowned in sorrow.
