2: SONG OF LOVE
In the forest’s dappled light, I play my lyre and the wild beasts fall still, entranced by melody. From the oak trees steps Eurydice, a nymph of radiant grace, drawn by my music as if by destiny. Our hearts entwine in harmony, and we are wed beneath the open sky. But joy fades quickly, for the Fates have little mercy for love.
