9: AUGEAN STABLES (Labor 5)

Ordered to clean the foul stables of King Augeas in a single day, I turn cunning to my advantage. Redirecting two great rivers, I wash away years of filth with the power of nature itself. The king refuses my payment, and Eurystheus rejects the labor as invalid. I learn that wit earns resentment as quickly as strength earns fear.
